Karakum, also spelled as Garagum – desert in the south of Central Asia, which covers the most part of Turkmenistan. The area is equaled to 350 000km². Desert consists of Zauguz, Central Karakums as well as separated Zaunguz cavity and Southeastern Karakums. br/>
Here are some legends, telling that centrality of Karakums stores many of caprolites and dendrolites. Researches in this area was not held yet, so age of these fossils are still unknown.
Our guys decided to check up this legend and went out for these fossils hunt. Now, some parts of this “treasures” are showing off at alcove in our office and remind us about this unforgettable trip.
